The Subramaniya Swamy temple is a hindu temple on the hill of Tiruttani, dedicated to lord Murugan. The hill has 365 steps indicating 365 days of the year. It is one of the six abodes of Murugan. Lord Indra, the king of the devas gave his daughter Devasena in marriage to Murugan and presented an elephant called Airavata. From then, Indra's wealth started waning but refused to take back the gift when Murugan requested to take it back. Instead, he requested to face the Airavata towards his direction. The tour is operated by 4 seater or 6 seater car. The 4 seater car has a base ticket fare of Rs. 2800 for an adult and the 6 seater car has a base ticket fare of Rs.3500 for an adult. Children above 5 years old are considered adults and will have the same adult ticket fare. Children below 5 years old don’t require a ticket.
