Appalayagunta is known for the temple of lord Balaji in the name of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara swamy temple. The temple is dedicated to the god Venkateswara, called in the name of Prasanna Venkateswara. The deity here has its right hand in Abhaya posture. The temple was constructed in 1232 AD by the king of Karvetinagaram, Sri Venkata Perumal Raju Brahmadeva Maharaj.

The 4 seater car has a base ticket fare of Rs.1900 for an adult and the 6 seater car has a base ticket fare of Rs.2600 for an adult. Children above 5 years old are considered adults and will have the same adult ticket fare. Children below 5 years old don’t require a ticket.
