Srikalahasti being the popular spiritual centre houses the shrine of lord Shiva in the form of Vayu Linga and is worshiped as SriKalahasteeswara. The name Srikalahasti is derived from Sri means ‘Spider’, Kala means ‘Snake’ and hasti means ‘elephant’. It is said that lord Vayu deva made a Shiva linga with camphor and worshiped it for thousands of years. Lord Shiva, impressed by him, gave three wishes and blessed Vayu with his wish of presence everywhere in the world as a form of air. The linga that is worshiped by Vayu deva is now being worshiped by all the devotees as Vayu Linga. Tiruchanur is known for the shrine of goddess Padmavathi, the consort/wife of lord Sri Venkateswara and Vellore is known for the Golden temple that houses the deity goddess Sri Lakshmi Narayani devi or MahaLakshmi, the goddess of wealth and the Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam of this temple are covered with pure gold.

The tour is operated by train in comfort or standard class that has a ticket fare of Rs.16100 for an adult and Rs.10400 for a child whose age is between 5 to 11 years. Children above 11 years old are considered adults and will have the same adult ticket fare. Children below 5 years old don’t require a ticket.

Package Itenarary

16734 OKHA RMM Express train will halt at Ahmedabad railway station, Vadodara railway station, Rajkot railway station, Surendranagar railway station, Viramgam railway station and at Surat railway station.

Day 1 Schedule

Passengers will board the train at Surat Railway station
Train departs to tirupati at night at around 9:15 PM
Overnight journey

Arrival at Tirupati railway station in the morning at around 6:05 AM
Proceed to hotel check in in Tirupati
Fresh up, breakfast and move to Tirumala
Darshan of lord Venkateswara with Rs.300 special darshan ticket
Later visit Tiruchanur Padmavathi amman temple
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Tirupati

Day 4 Schedule

Breakfast and proceed to SriKalahasti
Visit the temple of Srikalahasteeswara(lord Shiva) in the form of Vayu lingam
Return to Tirupati hotel
Dinner and stay for the night in Tirupati

Breakfast and check out from the hotel
Depart to Tirupati railway station
Board the return train 16733 to Surat
Train departs to Surat in the morning at around 11:35 AM

Full day train journey
Reach Surat at night at around 8:35 PM
